HyperStudio Hand in get Corrupted

We are using HyperStudio 3.22n.

We had a group of students create HyperStudio Stacks, and then hand them
in (through Panel environment in Macintosh Manager 1.3).

The HyperStudio Stacks become 'corrupted'. They are no longer good. The
original document is still fine, but the one in the Hand In folder is
unusable. The size isn't affected, but it has a generic icon, and will not
open either by double clicking or opening HyperStudio and they trying to
open from within (HyperStudio doesn't recognize it).

Has anyone else experienced this 'bug'?
