I would put the fastest server as the document server, keep the slower one
for Authentication. Authentication doesn't need a very large hard drive at
all.

I won't speak for John D, but at this moment I would stick with ASIP, but
move to MacOS X Server when it becomes 2.0, which will probably mean
upgrading during the summer. I don't think you would want to do this
during the school year.
