Corrupt Appleworks Files

We are running AppleWorks 5.0.3 along with MM. Lately we have had several
cases of Appleworks files coming up with the following error message:
"This is not an AppleWorks file or it is corrupt". I have tried
resurrecting
with Norton's, Tech Tool, moving the files to a disk and opening with
another
program. Nothing has worked. Anyone have any help for this problem or
experiencing similar problems? Thanks in advance.
