That is the first thing that I checked, but the sharepoint that they have
been directed to has NEVER changed locations. If it DID change locations
then the result would be the same for the entire workgroup, but it is only
the A-L users in the workgroup. If you look at the server's sharepoint
(either through the Chooser or sitting in front of the server iteself), the
users' folders are gone and the other half of the group still have their
files instact.

Even if you redirect the Document Save location, the folders will not
disappear from the previous location, it will just generate NEW user setups
in the new location.
