Re: ACTIVITY REPORT

There is information somewhere, but I can't remember where, that tells you
that the activity report is limited to a certain # of k or entries, no
matter how many days you tell it to look at. For example, if it's limited
to 5000 entries, then if you have a studen login, print, launch 5 programs,
logout, you've just created 8 entries. Multiply that through throughout the
day and you quickly reach 5000 within a day or two.

What we do is run the activity reports daily and save them as dated text
files, then bring the data into a database, like FileMaker that can
manipulate the data for reporting purposes.

Be aware the MM's days are not "1 day from now", they start and end at
midnight, so if you want yesterday's information, you'll need to put a "2"
in the days box. This means you will have to deal with duplicates in your
daily text files. We just use a script in FileMaker to look for and delete
duplicates.
