backing up.

Oh great! I just had one user's documents disappear for the first time (A
Microsoft User Data folder was still there from accidentally starting
Outlook Express at some point.) I haven't been too diligent about backups.
Having a small lab, my method is just to copy the users folder to a
different machine (which is set up to accept our only cd-burner, which is
SCSI, so it won't attach to my iMac server (ASIP6.3.1, MM MM1.2.2).) When I
tried to copy to this machine, as soon it got to an item in use, it comes up
with the "can't be copied" dialog. I hit "continue" and instead of
continuing, it just stopped. I also tried duplicating the folder, and the
same thing happened. Later, when no one was logged on, I tried again, and
it hit a file (I don't remember what) that it said I didn't have privileges
for. I hit continue, and again, it just stopped as if it had finished the
job.

Any ideas on what has happened?

Also, I installed Okeydokey today (after the above problem presented
itself.) I notice that it doesn't dismiss the yellow warning buttons with
the tiny close boxes that tell you to go to the finder to look at a real
dialog box. Is there any way to dismiss these so the finder doesn't have to
be in the front?

Craig
