When you import among the less obscure things that need to be right is the
homedirectory default should point to the share you want all users for that
import to use for their home folder. The import will fill in the path but the
"location"(ie server) and "Sharepoint"(ie directory) need to be set right in
the default.

If the ownership is wrong then it's some mix between the permissions on the
sharepoint and the permissions on the usertemplate folders being wrong (I think
exactly which part is responsible for which details varies with versions of
OSXS.)
