Re: Mac manager and outlook

I found the fix for this, but not the cause. Outlook Express can store it's Databases either in the users documents folder, or in same directory as the Application on the local drive. I found that when Users suddenly have blank Outlook express prefs, their Outlook express directory locally has a folder called identities. Delete this folder, and then log them in. They go back to getting their prefs from the server. all their old stuff should still be there. Pretty slick, and a bit of a relief. now if I could just figure out the cause.

Matt,

I have experienced the same problem here while running Mac Manager, local
prefs and outlook express. I have them saving their prefs locally
(supposedly) and they have vanished as you describe.

I'm at a loss, as well and wonder if you would let me know if you figure out
anything. I will do the same.

The weird thing is that it is not happening with any regularity. Some are
working just fine.

I have put a copy of the outlook express preference file in the "preserved
preferences" folder on the server. Not sure it will help, but I'm grasping
at straws at this point.

Thanks!
