Re: Users can't change password

I don't know how this would get screwed up, but check the netinfo property _writers_passwd (in netinfo: /users/username/_writers_passwd); make sure it is the same as the username.

Heylo,

I'm visiting a school for the first time this year and they are having problems with newly created users. All new users settings appear to be the same as old users, but when new users attempt to change their password from the default password they get an error message stating that they cannot change their passwords because they don't have enough privileges. Old users have no problems changing passwords. I searched the archives and didn't see where anyone else has had this problem. I'm sure it is a simple setting somewhere, if someone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction.

Thanks and Have A Great Day.
