Hi, while this does not deal with MM directly it is affecting the
overall speed of my network. I have several Apple Airports. I also
have about 5 HP 4050N printers. When I put a Fluke meter on my net, I
find that I am passing IPX all over the place. I found out tha the HP
is defaulted to Xmit IPX. I turned that off. I now have the two
airports that are Xmitting IPX and I can not figure out why. The
Fluke tells me that an AMD processor is being located. I have no
Windows machines in my building, no one has a laptop, and no one is
using any type of hand held device. I can't believe that someone is
sitting outside my building with a laptop getting free internet access
via my airports. When I unplug them the IPX disappears. This is a
real mystery. I didn't know where else to post this message but all
of you are so great and have such a wealth of knowledge that perhaps I
can find an answer here. If you do not want to use this listserv to
post the response, please e-mail me directly. Thanks very much.
