I know that the 6360 and the 6400s both used IDE drives. I don't think
the 7200s did.

I think after the x500 series, all the low to mid range Macs had IDE, while the higher
ends kept the SCSI. So your 5300, 5500, 6500, 6300, 7500, 7600, 7200, 7220, are likely to be IDE,
while the 8500, 8600, 9500 and 9600 are likely to all be SCSI.

There was a 9000 series? I'm just drawing a blank, but I'm sure there were.
