The first thing to check is that some files on your image were not damaged during the shutdown. I had a similar problem with assimilator. The server crashed while some computers were assimilating, somehow caused a corruption of a file on the image. I somehow managed to work out what file was damaged and then replaced that file on the image. The next step was of course to replace the whole image.

NewPtr is also a ToolBox function call. There may be some kind of weird name
clash here. so my first suggestion would be to rename the printer to
something NewPrinter, NewPrntr, NewLaserJet, or whatever.
