Need info on ibook vs. PC portable wireless lab

Hi,

I'm hoping to glean some research that one of you might have already done. Our principal is presenting a proposal for a wireless notebook lab for our K-12 school later this week. He needs to be able to answer some questions for which he as charged me with getting answers.

Questions:
How do iBook and a PC notebooks compare (including service and our own tech
supportability).

What is the projected life span of an iBook compared with a PC notebook and with a desktop?

Are iBooks completely compatible with the rest of our system--e.g. yearbook lab, other labs, e-mail attachments, and so on.

Will we have to hire a Mac person for our staff?

Anything else you think would be helpful to know?

Thanks,
Dwight
