networking with 10.3

We have just received 2 computers with 10.3, and we are having problems
connecting to some of our servers. It seems to be intermittent and I don't
see any logic to when it is occuring.

I know that there are some firewire issues with this operating system, but I
hadn't heard about any networking difficulties.

Please forgive the cross posting to another list, but we are going crazy
here trying to get this to work.
