Although I have not done that, the one thing that jumps out at me is the license. One of the two if not both, will probably check the network, so you may have to add the license after cloning. That could be a bummer because I think XP does most of its configuration after the license has been added. Maybe you've already considered this, but since it wasn't in your post, I thought I'd mention it.
