to a Mac authenticating to Active Directory, will I be told my
password has expired, or will the login just fail ?
In my experience, the login will just fail. Further, if users don't
know their password and the account policy is set to lock after three
tries, they will get no notification that their account is locked - it
will just continue to fail until someone suggests unlocking the account.
