Re: image for g4 and g5 machines

I don't have any 2.5GHz G5's, but I do have several 2GHz g5's and 10.3.4 seems to travel everywhere very well. I even have 10.3.4 cloned onto a 233MHz wallstreet. I had to clone it there because it refused to install, machine doesn't meet the specs you know ;-)

Anyway, if you do your own install from the OS CD's and update it to 10.3.4 I don't think it'll matter what hardware you start on; it should go everywhere. (standard 10.3.3 doesn't like the video cards on the new iBooks and PowerBooks)

CCC and NetRestore.

We are in the process of creating a Mac OS 10.3 image to be used on
these systems.

Will I have to create an image for the iMacs as well as another for the
G5's do to the hardware differences? We will be using ASR to image all
of the machines. Having one image makes it easier, but I do not want
the machines to crash every now and then. I am assuming two images is
needed, but I am looking for conformation from someone who has already
tried this.

Thanks in advance,
