ARD 2.0 and 1.2

Has anyone done some testing on how best to support OS 9 clients.

Specifically I can use ARD 1.2 to support 9 and X clients, but we like ARD 2.0 so moving to that we found that ARD 1.2 no longer worked....

Has anyone been able to have both ARD 1.2 and ARD 2.0 Admins work on the same machine?
