rsync?

Hi all,
I am just starting to use rsync for a little remote backup/sync on my personal and office machines-- looks very powerful for that purpose. What are people's experiences using it for lab maintenance? How does it compare with Radmind (which I do not know well), Assimilator (which I did), or Casper (which I currently use for some things)? I have read the material on OS X Labs, just want some commentary.
