More slot-loading DVD drive info

Hello, all. I have been asked if I had done firmware updates on the
drives.machines. Yes-
I tried fireware updates. I ran all the updaters I could find and
they either said 'Not for this Mac' or 'Already Up To Date'...

Additionally, I have done what I believe is a pretty thorough search of
the KB on this isse. No dice.
