Feedback requested: ARD2/PHP/NetRestore deployment solution

Hey folks:

At WWDC 2004 I presented an enterprise-level database solution that
manages mass deployments and system configuration. My WWDC
presentation and associated scripts are now available at
http://www.bombich.com/software/wwdc_04.html.

In short:
ARD 2's database can be leveraged during mass deployment to retrieve
information such as network configuration information, the location of
a master disk image, and other machine-specific information (building
name, room number, etc). Once retrieved, the information can be used
by post-actions scripts to apply per-machine customizations. I also
made a small tweak to NetRestore to allow it to retrieve a machine's
record from the DB and automatically populate items in the post-actions
window as well as preferences and configuration information.

You can also do some cool reporting on system information by accessing
the database directly. I only scratched the surface there, but
hopefully my PHP scripts can inspire someone else to take it further.

While I am not recommending that anyone implement this solution in a
production environment yet, I am interested in anyone's feedback of the
viability and usability of this solution in an enterprise environment.
If you have some time and some experience with PHP/MySQL (though not
required), let me know what you think.
