Login Manager and defaults command

I am using Bombich's Login Manager to run some scripts after I run Radmind. After they have run I delete the script folder and use:

sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook
sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LogoutHook

to restore com.apple.loginwindow.plist.

What is happening is that the logiin and logout hooks are deleted but the login window briefly shows up with the Other icon and then defaults to the name and password version. I tried to change to the icon view in Accounts but it does not stick. I have even manually edit the file and it didn't help either. So is there another file that controls the login window?
