Re: Active Directory Allow administration by



QuarkXPress require write access to it own application folder. The same
thing is true for Painter and Flash 2004. The copy of Peak that comes with
Final Cut pro needs the hard drive root to be writable for scratch space,
(although this setting can be changed from within the Peak application.)
I'm not entirely sure what else may be affected. There may be
sub-applications within application that won't work because of the staff
group.

We have all of our users, students and faculty, logging in with
administrator privileges because that is what the faculty/staff have
mandated. I agree with the fact that the users should not have
administrative privileges for security reasons, but the faculty/staff will
not move on the issue.
