i would reffer you to the apple sample source site..

( http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/ ) to download the
OTSimpleDownloadHTTP and OTSimpleServerHTTP. to get your first grasp of OT
under MacOS Classic. (haven't checked if they are still on there)
Try to port it to Carbon using

http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macosx/Carbon/carbon.html
the carbon api documentation.

this should get you started with OpenTransport and Carbon. at least, that's
what it did for me.
