@Jorge Chamorro: you are entirely correct. As far as I know there is
no direct correlation between the text-password and the hex-string. It
is the 'hashing' routine I'm trying to uncover.

Does anyone know if there is a way to directly contact Apple's
technical team? Unfortunately my ADC does not allow me to get an Apple
technical contact to solve software issues.
