I would like to have some comment form Apple side when this might be
implemented and allowed to change from System Preferences.
This mailing list is to help developers who are programming for Mac
OS X. There's no one from Apple on this list who is authorised to
comment on future directions.
With regards the practical issues you're experiencing, you might want
to hop over to the IPv6-specific mailing list.
