Re: DHCP exclusions

I want to know if there is a way to exclude an IP address in DHCP. I could
do it if I divide the subnet. I would rather exclude the few addresses.

Depends on what you are using as a DHCP server.

Most DHCP servers will allow you to at least set a range of IP addresses that it hands out, and you can set addresses outside of the assigned range in the same subnet.

Some DHCP servers also allow you to reserve specific IP addresses. Some DHCP servers also allow you to assign specific IP addresses within the DHCP range tio specific MAC addresses.

Again, what features you have and how you implement them are entirely dependant on what software or hardware you are using as your DHCP server.
