I have 2 stations I need to connect - a G3 powerbook (wallstreet) and an

Why don't you just go for an Apple Airport solution? Works pretty good here,
looks nice and has the usual logo on it ;-)

The original iMac has no Airport slot. The Wallstreet has no Airport slot.

The Pismo was the first PowerBook with an Airport slot, and the slot-loading iMacs were the first to sport the slot.

An Airport Base Station is fine, but an all-Apple solution does not exist for his setup.
