Re: How do I password protect a folder for my website?

I want to password protect a folder inside the documents folder of the web server. I used to have this set up under ASIP, and whenever someone would browse to that folder over the internet, they would have to enter a password.

I have not been able to make that work in OS X. I tried using a realm, and it denied access without popping up the password box. Is anyone doing this successfully? Are there any instructions for setting it up?

Read the section on WebDAV in the Admin Guide. You need to set permissions properly for WebDAV to work.
