Re: OS X Server on unsupported Mac

I have OS X Server running on a PM9600, with a Sonnet G4 upgrade. Only have
256MB of RAM (damn its hard to find cheap FPM chips). Does just fine for
routing, mail (postfix) and web caching. It struggled with file sharing, so
I have moved that to another server. The Farallon Ethernet card has never
missed a beat, so Ron may be correct about the Asante drivers.

I did the install with a very early version of the UnsupportedX utility and
had a few difficulties (mainly solved by repeated installing until
everything worked). I hear the new XPostFacto is much more reliable.
