Re: Cconfigure smb.config

Hi,

Does /usr/bin/pico exist on your system? If so, try typing

'sudo /usr/bin/pico /etc/smb.conf'

If this works, then your path is probably screwed up. Try typing

echo $PATH

You should get something like:

/Network/Servers/duchamps/Users/admin/bin/powerpc-apple-
darwin:/Network/Servers/duchamps/Users/admin/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

Hello.

I am trying to configure the file smb.conf so that windows clients can
create files with group write permission. I use the Terminal and write the
command "sudo pico /etc/smb.conf" but I get the message "sudo: pico: command
not found". Can eyone please tell me whats wrong. I have a G4 OSX server
version 10.1.3.
