Depends on the *nix. Linux has a webdavfs, neon and cadaver also are
availible for various *nix'es (they're both in the FreeBSD ports tree.. I
just checked). There is also a php extension for client DAV access so one
could "simply" write a webapp... There are also 2 python based clients
out there as well, nither are well maintained.

FWIW & IMHO, ssh/sftp, AFS, NFS or even samba would probably be a better
more universal fit for a wide range on *nix'es unless you're only offering
DAV for website access/editing.
