Re: Jaguar server/client on 333mhz imacs

I have 10.2 server and client an original iMac (233mhz) and 300mhz B/W and have never had a download and/or update problem with software updates. Then again I have never been hit with the bounced back email problem either. So maybe I am doing something wrong, but it works for me.

Just wanted to let anyone interested know of some weird issues with older
imacs and Jaguar (both server and client).

If you install 10.2 of server or 10.2 of client DO NOT use auto update to
perform the initial updates to get it up to 10.2.3 combined, download them
manually - I have two imacs I've purchased as web servers (nothing fancy is
needed so I wasn't going to spend lots of money, the imacs will do fine).
At any rate - the install process quits and you have to completely reformat
and start again as it's leaving off somewhere in the middle of the combined
updater, who knows where. Manual download and install of the update makes
life happy.
