Problems with Directory Services

Folks,

I just installed Mac OS X Server 10.2.3 this weekend. Wiped the hard drive
before installing just in case.

After a few days, the SLP Server is displaying errors - "The SLP server is
in an unknown state"

I haven't even tried to modify it.

ps -aculx | grep -I slp

doesn't show any slp process.

I'm not a computer newbie, but I am somewhat new to Unix.

Any ideas?
