>I have been using retrospect (server 10.1.4) for quite some time now-Any hints or tips on server disaster restore as it pertains to retrospect
would be appreciated
Don't have one. Or keep a bootable drive with retrospect installed on
an external firewire or USB drive so you can do the restores w/o
having to start from bare metal.
but due to some hardware requests from my users, I am going to endup with
a spare portable hard drive - so I am getting a Firewire case for it -
and am going to install
CCC - and have it clone *at least* the OS to the firewire drive, and
shedule it to do backups of the OS too.
Then in theory - if the server OS drive fails, I can in minutes, be up
and running and can defer the repair until a non peak time.
Also I
should then be able to avoid the restrospect OS re-install jig easily
enough by simply CCC cloning the OS from the firewire drive back to the
(new?) OS drive in the server.
