afp client login error -5023

[sorry for crossposting]

hi --

hope you help me with this situation.

we had a power outage some days ago and our mac os x 10.1.5 (client)
apple file server got down. everything seems to have passed fine, only
one client user is no longer be able to login via afp.

i get the following entries in AppleFileServerAccess.log:

IP 192.168.1.32 - - [31/Jan/2003:17:51:13 0100] "Login stephan" -5023 0 0
IP 192.168.1.32 - - [31/Jan/2003:17:51:13 0100] "Logout stephan" -5023 0 0

we have a netinfo domain hierarchy there, where this user is defined
only in the network domain on the server. the client imac has set as parent
the network domain on the server. loginwindow login goes fine, which
means netinfo authentication works.

any ideas? i'd be happy for fast answers, since i don't like to stay here
for the whole night.

i already deleted the afpuser_aliases entries in the local domain of
the server and send a kill -HUP to the AppleFileServer process, which
didn't help so far.

thanks a lot
