Re: OS X utility

I've used Norton for X but you have to run from a firewire drive. They have a
beta for Norton 8 out that runs native off the cd in X.

One problem with DW 2.11 is that it does a sort of all or nothing approach to
fixing it. Norton can let you skip some "fixes". One thing DW 2.11 does *wrong*
is that it reads the encoding done on file names and fixes them if they are
wrong. But it fixes them for OS9 which is different for OSX (see utils from
apple about fixing encoding for more info.)

So what happens is, for example, a forced pref folder like explorer gets
renamed explorer234488 which is suddenly no good for managing prefs.

DW3 may fix this - it supposed to run in X and apparently can be booted off a
cd. But it hasn't shipped yet.
