Re: /Library/WebServer Permissions

Documents in the /Library/WebServer/Documents should have the permissions:

Owner: system
Access: Read & Write
Group: Admin
Access: Read & Write
Others: Read only

Also you must have a "index.html" file with the same permissions inside of the folder "Documents" that we are taking about.

Now for CGI, the permissions for your files are 755

Owner: read, Write & Execute
Group: read & Execute <---here you can not give write access
Others: read & Execute <---here you can not give write access

I hope that is what you want to know.

What should the permissions be for the CGI-Executables and Documents
directories inside of /Library/WebServer? I have mine as www:www 755.
However, if I use the Connect to Server feature of the finder and enter
http://myserver it mounts the Documents directory and it is world writeable!
What do I need to change them to so that apache is happy, the realms are
happy, and yet the world can't alter files?
