Xserver and Xserver Raid

Is anybody using this combination for webserving? Is their anywhere that shows a speed comparison between this and SCSI drives or the drives built into the Xserver already? Seems like if it is fast enough it would be a great combination for a webserver system. It would be the backup system and everything rolled into 1 setup. If this is off topic I am sorry and will look for another forum for this.

Thanks
Bennie
