Bound Open Directory Server with Active Directory Samba problems....

Hi,

Goal:
Want to be able to use our XServe/XRAID as a common data store for
9/10/windows users. We must use AD for authentication.

I thought by putting my data store onto the XServe/XRAID, I could see
the same data folder from any environment. I do NOT need to have
managed directories for either Mac or windows, just common access to
the same directories that are authenticated from AD.

NOTES:
- I do have full control of AD.
- I have full control of XServe/XRAID running 10.3.4 Server.

All I want to do is to bind the XServe to the AD....(was able to do
this using lots of doc on web)

Then in Active Directory set a student, say "stuName"
profile...."Profile/Home folder" to "Connect 'H:' to
"\\fmfilestore.oaktree.local\Teachers\ita1" where fmfilestore is the
DNS name of the XServe.

ISSUE:
I can sign onto my shares using AFP from both 9 and 10 machines with
no problem. But when I try to do a
"smb://fmfilestore.oaktree.local\Teachers\ita1" It won't sign on
saying bad password/user.
