Hello.

I have a Xserve with Jaguar running (10.2.8). In this server is install
PHP 4.3.6.
I am unable to execute PHP scripts when accessing the server via SSH
(as an example: $php script.php). The command 'php' is not recognized
via SSH.

This would be expected behavior.

PHP is not installed as a scripting system under OS X. It's installed as Apache module only. Normally this isn't a problem, as most people are only used to running PHP for web applications, not as scripting language for use from the shell like users might use Perl, Python or Ruby.
