PHP is not installed as a scripting system under OS X. It's installed as Apache module only.

It appears to be installed properly as both a web module and a scripting system on stock Panther systems. Man pages and the whole nine yards.

The post was regarding Jaguar (see subj line!), not Panther, and IIRC this wasn't the case in Jaguar. Anyway, it didn't used to be the case, not sure when it started, but I didn't think Jaguar shipped this way, but I don't have any Jaguar systems hanging around any more to check.
