HP Procurve switches are a great value!

Comapred with what ? All the other HP switches ?

And do you have a specific recommendation for the setup Michael
described ?

They are a family of managed switches, and they are a good value.

They compare favorably to that of switches by 3Com, Cisco, CableTron, SMC and ADTran. If you want layer 7 they're not for you, but otherwise they are quite good.

As for the OP's requirements, I didn't really see any specifics.
