Re: Netinfo Howtos, anyone?

Unless you have a specific reason for using NetInfo I would go with an
Open Directory (LDAPv3) domain. Apple has a ton of documentation on it at
<http://www.apple.com/server/documentation/>

I read Apples data about Open Directory. What I see is that it publishes the Netinfo data also via LDAP. With Netinfo being also used locally, I can't see whats wrong with also publishing similar data to the network. Wouldnt it also be neccesary to setup a network domain to publish via LDAP?

Ok, having an LDAP server running would make integration with other applications and OSes easier. The use of a netinfo-network-zone seems to me more native to OSX.
