Re: Gigabit Switch Recommendations



I've purchased and installed Cisco Catalyst 2970 switches at several
companies and I'm very impressed. They are inexpensive (compared to other
Cisco products :) ), fast and rock solid. I've used the 24-port all copper
model (Catalyst 2970G-24T) and the model with 24-ports of copper + 4 SFP
ports (Catalyst 2970G-24TS) and both have been excellent.

Cisco switches come with a learning curve if you haven't used the IOS
before, but I think it's worth it for the speed, reliability and feature set
that you get.
