Just noticed that sshd has shutdown on my remote server (G4 Xserve
10.2.8) so I can't log in. Does anyone know if there is a way to
restart sshd remotely, short of rebooting the server? I am guessing
"no" as that would seem to be a major security risk, but thought I
would ask just in case.
FWIW, I think sshd came down during an rsync session when my local
machine had a kernel panic. Not sure if that would do it, but can't
think of any other reason why sshd would just quit.
TIA
