diskutil enableRAID mirror disk0

I just tried this on a dual 250 drive g5 system with 10.3.5 and I get this:

DiskManagementTool[613] Error writing RAID Parition map

Anyone know what's up?

Here's the disk list:

diskutil list
/dev/disk0
   #:                   type name               size      identifier
   0: Apple_partition_scheme                    *233.8 GB disk0
   1:    Apple_partition_map                    31.5 KB   disk0s1
