OK, I can state authoritatively here, having scoped this out with Dantz and the Dantz UK Reseller, that:


* OEM copies of Retrospect are not upgradeable from version to version

* OEM copies of Retrospect can add clients - just buy them and add them


The bundled version of Retrospect OEM with La Cie AIT drives, in the UK at least, is a copy of Retrospect Workgroup without clients (unlike the Retail product) but you can buy client licences and add them to it

You may receive information to the contrary from other sources but I've researched this at length, bought the licences, and it works

A crippled version in some ways it may be, but the bundled OEM I am referring to is excellent value and a good add-on to a drive
