I have the 4 port IOGear MiniView USB-KVM switch.
G-CS104U
It works works with mac OS9, X (10.1, 10.2 & 10.3 - G3 & G4), intel linux
(white) boxes, win 98 & xp. I haven't found a brand keyboard or mouse that
it doesn't work with. I don't use the extra usb ports, but understand it can
be used for printers and such.
The only time I had the USB go deaf is when there was issues with the
computer, and the fix was just to rotate back around to it again. It had not
happened for some time.
My only thing is not the button that you hit to change form one box to the
other is getting touchy... But considering how many times I have hit it,
it's understandable. It must be 5-6 years old. I never used the auto scan
function.
Can't say for G5's yet...
I am also interested in this thread as I could use another one and/or
replace this one, but I don¹t' want to pay a lot... (yes, I am cheap)
