Another reconstruct fixed the problem temporarily, but the same thing happened at around 7AM this morning. So, I have searched the archives and Apple's site and still can't figure out exactly what's going on. I have seen a bunch of people mention similar problems, but they seem to have permissions problem when rotating the stuff in /var/imap/db, which I don't seem to see. Can anyone give me a suggestion here? I don't want to have to rebuild my users mailboxes every morning! ;)

Did you just run the reconstruct command, or did you do the full rebuild. I had to do a full rebuild on one of my customer's dbs. The reconstruct command would never finish. Maybe you should do the same. Check the KB at apple.com or search the archives of this list.

Check for a message from Gregory Kelley with a subject of "Cyrus DB rebuild and log-roll crashes". It has detailed instructions.
